J. Steven Ayres

Steve Ayres is a partner in the law firm of Weber, Heap, Ayres & Greene, P.C. He was born May 18, 1981 in Robinson, Illinois, and has been a lifelong resident of Crawford County, Illinois.

Education

Steve graduated Valedictorian from Palestine High School, Palestine, Illinois in 1999. He continued his education at Lincoln Trail College, becoming a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society and graduating with an Associate of Science degree in Business in 2001, with Honors. He then continued at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 2003. Steve received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2006. While at the University of Illinois College of Law Steve was a finalist in the American Bar Association Negotiation Competition and also represented the College at the 2006 Invitational Moot Court Competition in Washington D.C.

Licenses

Steve became licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois in 2006. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.

Memberships

Steve is a member of the Illinois Bar Association and Crawford County Bar Association, the Vice President of CrossTies Christian Ministries in Crawford County, Illinois, a member of Robinson Fraternal Order of Elks Lodge No. 1188, a member of Robinson Kiwanis Club, and a director of the Palestine Academic Foundation.
